Vinicius Jr Issues Apology to The Madrid Club Devotees
The forward has netted 5 strikes in 10 La Liga outings so far this term.
The Madrid giants forward Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his conduct when substituted in the recent intense El Clasico victory.
He was replaced in the second half and expressed his frustration by going straight down the tunnel.
Vinicius subsequently came back to the sidelines and, following his side's 2-1 win, tried to confront Barça's opposing player during contentious after the game incidents.
"This day I want to express regret to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was taken off in the Clasico," he wrote on his account.
"Similarly to I have already done during today's session, I would like to apologise again to my teammates, the club, and the president.
"Sometimes emotion gets the better of me because I constantly desire to succeed and assist my team. My winning mentality comes from the affection I hold for this club and everything it represents."
Vinicius signed for Madrid from Flamengo in the year 2018 for a significant fee and has scored triple figures in more than 300 games.
But his prospects in the Madrid is unclear with speculation in the past few months suggesting that the club would think about letting the 25-year-old depart if they were to receive a good proposal.
When Vinicius was replaced on that day, TV coverage from network Dazn captured him remarking: "Always me! I'm departing the side! It's wiser if I leave, I'm going."
In his new post on X, the athlete commented: "I promise to keep battling constantly for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have acted since the very beginning."
