British Airways to provide no-cost fast onboard internet via Starlink agreement

Passengers on British Airways are set to enjoy high-speed internet in the air free of charge following a major partnership from the billionaire's space firm.

The airline revealed that this free, “fast and dependable” wifi service from Starlink is set to be accessible to travelers in coach, business, or premium cabins as of the coming month.

Widespread Implementation Throughout Various Airlines

The holding firm for BA, IAG, announced it had reached an deal with Starlink to provide internet coverage on over 500 planes operated by their carriers, including the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.

British Airways noted that the introduction of the system formed part of a multi-billion pound “upgrade” initiative and will provide smooth connectivity coverage to travelers from the gate to landing, also when traveling above large bodies of water and remote regions.
